Art of Sleep provides different services for different age groups. Our goal is always to help families develop healthy sleeping habits and get a good rest but method vary depending on age.
For children under 12.
Our SnugBugz service is for children and their families to learn how to create a balanced routine that promotes healthy sleep. We hold informative weekly group sessions at West Moonah Community House where we discuss the effects and importance of sleep, and what families can do increase their child's quality and quantity of sleep. Private appointments are also available.
For age 12 - 25.
This one is for the big kids. Teens and young adults experience sleep differently, often sleeping and waking later than intended. This can be caused by a wide range of factors and can be remedied with a variety of methods. For a service tailored to meet the unique needs of a young individual, appointments are available in your own home. We've also partnered with community house in the Hobart area to ensure this service is accessible.
The 2018 project, Enchanter Click-clacks, celebrates our seniors and brings joy to 3-12 year old children. Enchanter Click-clacks are inspired by Philomena's daughter, who named her elf slippers after Enid Blyton's "Folk of the Faraway Tree." Residents of local nursing homes are invited to knit or crochet squares. These are magically transformed into warm slippers for children. The handover occurs in Tasmanian Seniors Week 15- 21 October. Keep an eye on our sessions page for more information. The theme "food glorious food" will be celebrated at the handover.
